Let's play our part to spread the awareness about TB and help in its elimination
KHPT works in collaboration with the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme to develop community based, patient-centric models aimed at improving health seeking behaviours, access to healthcare services, TB notification and treatment outcomes as well as stigma mitigation among vulnerable populations.
TB FACTS
Tuberculosis (TB) affects an estimated 10 million people globally every year, of which around 3.2 million are women.
Out of 10 million cases reported every year, 2.7 million are reported from India
420,000 people die annually due to TB in India. In 2016, about 40% of the 2.79 million new cases of TB in India were among women.
$23.7 billion: The annual loss caused by TB to the Indian economy

The Vision is of a TB free India with zero deaths, disease and poverty due to Tuberculosis.
The Goal is to achieve a rapid decline in the burden of TB, mortality and morbidity, while working towards the elimination of TB in India by 2025.
